We’re offering Urgent Care and here’s all you need to know!

The goal of Beechmont Pet Hospital Urgent Care is not to replace the 24/7 emergency and specialty care provided by MedVet, Care Center, and other Greater Cincinnati Emergency Pet Facilities, but to instead give those in the community a medical facility for those unexpected non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. With that being said, here’s a breakdown of our urgent care procedure.

1. RING OUR BELL AND COME ON IN

During urgent care hours our clinic offers walk-in service. Due to our focus on emergency care, we will not be providing preventative care during these hours. In order to give patients our full attention, phone calls will be forwarded directly to voicemail. If you call during urgent care hours, you will be instructed to come directly to Beechmont Pet Hospital if you feel your pet needs to be seen, or to call your nearest emergency facility if you wish to speak with someone over the phone about your concerns.

2. TRIAGE

Once you’re in the hospital, your pet will be seen in a fashion similar to human urgent care facilities. Your pet will be triaged appropriately, and will be seen in order of severity, not necessarily in order of arrival.

 3. MEET WITH OUR DISTINGUISHED URGENT CARE DOCTOR OF THE NIGHT

After being assessed by the technician, your pet will be evaluated by the doctor. If the doctor feels we can appropriately treat your pet at our hospital, we will then take them back to the treatment area where we will begin getting them back into top-notch shape. If the doctor believes your pet needs additional treatment, you will be referred to your nearest emergency facility.

4. CHECK-OUT

Payment will be due at the time of service. Our urgent care exam fee is $75.00, and the price of your visit may vary from there depending on the treatment received. In order to keep you up to date with your primary veterinarian and successfully keep your after-hours cost down, any treatment including x-rays and lab work, will be accessible and emailed and/or faxed to your everyday vet by the next day.
