Eat This, Not That

Eat This, Not That Thanksgiving (2)

Tips to Keep Your Pet Healthy

We love our pets and they are an important part of the family, so naturally we want to include them in the holiday festivities by sharing some of our favorite foods.

Feed pets reasonable amounts of any safe “human” food and instruct your guests to do the same. While every pet is different, there are a few foods that most pet owners can share with their furry friends.

Be sure you know the ingredients in any food that you are letting your pet eat. While most people are aware that chocolate can be toxic to pets, some ingredients such as onion, garlic, mushrooms, unbaked bread dough, cherries, grapes, avocado, caffeine, raisins, currants, salt, macadamia nuts, alcohol, and the sweetener Xylitol, can be very dangerous to pets if ingested.

Please keep your pets safe during the holidays, and remember when some pets are left unattended, they will eat food off the counter, table, and out of the trash can.

If you are unsure if your pet ate something toxic, please call us at (513 )232-4550, or the Pet Poison Helpline at 855-764-7661, who will assist you 24/7.
